About the artwork

Who doesn't love the blue of the sky, or the many shades of blue in water. It is extra beautiful when the colour has depth, like shiny silk, or the blue glaze on porcelain. Delftware, Chinese porcelain, Portuguese earthenware, I love it.

I myself am a great lover of the colour blue. People call it a cool colour, but that falls away for me as soon as I take several shades of blue, combine them, mix them, let them flow into each other. It becomes even more beautiful with contrasting gold. An oasis of tranquillity and vistas then lies ahead.

The darkest blue? Then I think of the sheen on a raven's feathers. This detail of a porcelain vase depicts Huginn and Muninn, Odin's ravens. Their names stand for 'remembering' and 'thinking', as they told Odin everything they had seen in the world. Does this vase really exist? No, the image was generated from many examples. It is not even a real photograph! But it is a real work of art, created digitally, especially for me, especially for you, lover of blue.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
