Geometric Harmony of Three Figures

This cubist oil painting transforms three stylized female figures into a striking mosaic of geometric shapes. Triangles, rectangles, and trapezoids interlock across the canvas, fragmenting both the figures and their surroundings into a unified pattern of angular planes.

Three central figures anchor the composition. The figure on the left turns toward the right, her form built from sharp angles and warm tones. The center figure faces forward, tall and commanding, her body a vertical stack of overlapping polygons. On the right, a third figure turns inward with one arm raised behind her head, completing a sense of balanced symmetry.

An earthy palette gives the work warmth and cohesion. Burnt orange, ochre, terracotta, and tan dominate, while cooler accents of forest green and deep blue add contrast and depth. Light and shadow appear not through realistic lighting but through careful color blocking, with bright cream facets set against darker browns and blues.

Visible brushwork and a thick, tactile texture bring physical presence to every shape. The fragmented forms reflect the heart of Cubism, breaking the human body into multiple viewpoints at once. The result is a modern reinterpretation of a classical subject, celebrating shape, color, rhythm, and structure over anatomical precision.
