Honda CBR900RR FireBlade at Rest

When I lift my brush toward this Honda CBR900RR FireBlade, I feel something older than paint stirring in me. This machine has always meant more than speed. It carries a memory of freedom, of leaning into a curve and trusting the road to hold you.

I placed her on a wet racetrack bend, resting yet ready, red and black skin glistening with quiet tension. The oil-style brushstrokes are deliberately loose, because I wanted motion to live even in stillness. Behind her, a fiery orange and yellow glow rises, meeting smoky blues and greys where dim grandstands wait.

The chiaroscuro was my anchor. Bright highlights catch the polished chrome exhaust and the gold brake discs, while deep shadows cradle the frame. The dual headlights glow like two steady eyes, watching, remembering every race that came before.

Painting her taught me patience. Each stroke asked me to honor both the engineering and the emotion, the roar and the reverence. I think we all carry a FireBlade inside us, that spark of daring and belonging. This is my quiet love letter to it, shared so others might feel their own fire too.
