Honda RC30 at Golden Hour

I have always felt that a motorcycle holds a soul, and with this painting I wanted to set that soul free. The Honda RC30 sits at the edge of the track, quiet now, but I can still feel the roar in my chest as I built her up in thick impasto strokes. Every ridge of paint is a heartbeat. Her red, white, and blue livery cuts through the warm golden haze like a memory that refuses to fade, and that little Honda wing logo on the tank still gives me a shiver of pride.

Behind her, I let the grandstands melt into loose, dusty light. I dragged the brush sideways to smear the background into motion, so even standing still she seems to breathe speed. The single-sided swingarm was my favorite passage to paint, a curve I traced again and again until it felt alive.

This is more than a machine to me. It is the smell of hot oil, the hush before the flag, the ache of loving something built to move. I painted her stationary so you could finally look, really look, and fall for her the way I did.
