About ‘Impression of rhododendron forest’ by Karla Leeftink
Moving the camera vertically during shooting creates the impression of movement. This is how this abstract representation of a forest of purple rhododendrons came about. The total time of the movement was eight seconds. Also nice to hang up photos from this series together with other rhododendrons.

Karla Leeftink prefers to photograph in the peace and quiet of early mornings with a hint of mysterious mist. The Drentsche-Aa region and the Reest valley are ideal for this with their frequently occurring misty landscapes. She also likes the wide open Wadden Sea landscapes and rough Norwegian fjord landscapes. Standing under the stars she is in her element and impressed by creation.
