In Abstracto #14

Balancing serene naturalism with sudden painterly disruption, In Abstracto #14 is a panoramic exploration of transition, silence, and memory.

Set along a calm shoreline where mirror-still water dissolves into a soft, slate-blue horizon, the composition moves between two contrasting worlds. On the left, a shadowed tree leans out over the water, its canopy fracturing into expressive drips of pitch-black ink and raw splatters—dense, tactile, and grounded in earth. As the eye moves right, this darkness dissipates across the cool sky, transforming into a plume of white vapor that drifts toward a stand of slender, spectral birches rising bare from the water.

The interplay between the heavy, dripping pigment and the ghostly white trunks creates a rhythmic tension across the wide horizontal plane. Below, mirror reflections linger on the glass-like surface, lending the surreal scene a tangible, grounding weight.
Quietly hypnotic and expansive, the piece brings an immediate sense of scale and contemplation. Its cool palette and dreamlike stillness make it an elegant focal point for modern interiors, offering both visual calm and subtle, lingering mystery.
