Tips for use
  • Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
  • Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
  • Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
  • The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
  • Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Jacob Paining Portraits’ by Marja van den Hurk

Jacob Cornelisz. van Oostsanen (c. 1475 - 1533) was a Dutch painter and designer of woodcuts. He is considered one of the great Dutch masters of the first half of the 16th century.

This is my adaptation of his self-portrait made in 1550, double portrait I should actually say, because in the original painting he painted his wife.…
