KTM 1390 Super Adventure at Golden Hour

I painted this piece to hold on to a feeling every rider knows: the moment the road bends toward the light and everything else falls away. A KTM 1390 Super Adventure carries a lone rider through a sweeping mountain pass, just as the sun breaks gold over the ridges.

I chose an impressionistic approach, building the scene with thick, expressive brushstrokes in a digital oil style. I wanted you to feel the texture, not just see it. The rider, dressed head to toe in black leather and a dark-visored helmet, leans into the curve with quiet focus. Against that darkness, the bike's signature orange accents glow on the trellis frame and tank, while the stacked LED headlights burn with a warm light of their own.

The road curls away to the right, pulling your eye deep into the landscape. Below, soft mist fills the valleys, and the distant hills fade into cool blues and greys. That contrast between warm and cool is the heartbeat of the painting, the tension between the journey and the calm that surrounds it.

For me, this work is about freedom and motion. It's about choosing the long way home and letting the horizon decide where the day ends.
