Watze D. de Haan Profile picture The Koppelpoort in historic Amersfoort is now well known to almost everyone. A special road and water gate built around 1450. Often you see the coupling port at the centre without the context. On this picture you can see the newly restored houses on the left that have added value with the Koppelpoort in the background. Cyclists make frequent use of this stretch of road, crossing the Eemhaven. In this period of the year, colours change again, autumn has begun and you can see that. A walk through the beautiful city is very worthwhile and this part is definitely part of it.
