Lighthouse Zuiderhoofd Westkapelle in the evening

“Lighthouse Zuiderhoofd Westkapelle in the evening” is a photo I captured during an evening at the Westkapelle Creek in Zeeland. The water lay perfectly still, as if the world had taken a breath. And then there was that light.

The Zuiderhoofd lighthouse in Westkapelle shone brightly in the twilight. Its golden reflection traced a long line through the dark blue water, while the houses along the shore quietly reflected their warm glow. The sky was deep blue and clear. No rush, no noise.

The photo “Lighthouse Zuiderhoofd Westkapelle in the evening” captures the silence of that evening in the mirror-smooth water and the gentle interplay of light and darkness. The image serves as an invitation to slow down and simply look, or to briefly think back to that wonderful holiday in Zeeland.

As wall decoration, this photo fits beautifully in a living room, study, or bedroom where you consciously wish to make room for calm. A soothing image that pleasantly surprises you every day.

The photo was taken in Westkapelle, on the Zeeland island of Walcheren. I captured the image with a long exposure time, creating the silky-smooth water surface that is so characteristic of my minimalist, fine art photography.
