Obelisk sculpture in marble and gold

The ‘Obelisk’ sculpture, a marble-and-gold artwork, depicts a tall, tapering obelisk divided into two halves: on the left, white marble with fine grey veining; on the right, brushed gold with fine horizontal stripes. The clean, straight edges and the narrow top give the form a monumental, almost architectural appearance, whilst the soft light from the side subtly highlights the texture of both materials. A broad patch of light lies on the ground, emphasising the base of the obelisk against the dark, shadowy background. The contrast between the cool, natural marble and the warm, metallic gold lends the sculpture a balanced and refined tension. White marble and warm gold, set against a dark and austere backdrop, give this artwork a timeless and exclusive appearance that exudes both tranquillity and status.

Since ancient times, obelisks have symbolised strength, eternity and the connection between earth and sky, and this modern interpretation in marble and gold gives that classic, monumental form a contemporary, minimalist twist.

A stylish living room, hall or study with calm, luxurious accents is shown to its best advantage with this artwork on the wall, and it is available in various materials and sizes.
