Pine tree and cliffs on the Mediterranean

Early in the morning, I find the tranquil ambience on the Mediterranean coast in Spain particularly appealing. With this in mind, it's worth getting up early to experience the warm colours at sunrise. On the morning I took this photo, there were lots of soft clouds floating in the sky. The sea water appeared in subtle shades of blue. High up on the cliff, the green treetops and golden-brown rocks dominated. The coastal scene is framed by a pine tree that is firmly rooted in the ground very close to the cliff.

When walking along the coast in Benissa and Calpe, I like to be inspired by the views of the vast Mediterranean and the sound of the waves. Early in the morning in particular, I go in search of motifs. It's the moment when the cliffs are illuminated by the first rays of sunlight and the landscape is bathed in enchanting colours. Above the cliffs, I use the elevated position to look out into the distance and observe the dialogue between the sky and the Mediterranean.
