You see them a lot in Iceland, these piled stones. Sometimes they are made to mark a path, sometimes they are built simply because it is fun to stack stones. The latter applies here, because the Saebraut, a busy road in the center of Reykjavik, does not need extra marking.
In the background we see the waters of the Kollafjörður, Reykjavik's bay. And behind that are the snow-capped and partly mist-covered mountains. The photo exudes a tranquility that does not suggest that the hustle and bustle of the city is so close.
