Silent Splendour

‘Serene Splendour’ depicts a bouquet of white roses in a round, cream-coloured vase. The flowers fill the upper half of the piece and are interspersed with dark green leaves. Some roses face forwards, whilst others are tilted or turned to one side. The vase has a narrow base and soft brown patches of colour on its body. It stands on a dark brown tabletop against a muted grey-green background.

The still life is composed of calm, matt areas of colour. The roses are recognisable by their round, folded petals, without every detail being sharply defined. Dark lines and shadows between the leaves lend the bouquet depth. The light-coloured vase, together with the white flowers, forms a distinct vertical group. The tabletop anchors the composition at the bottom, whilst the green background allows the warm cream tones to stand out softly. The loose brushstrokes lend the whole a subdued character.

This floral wall decoration is suitable for a living room, bedroom or dining room with natural and classic accents. Cream, grey-green and dark brown combine with wood, linen and neutral fabrics. A calm wall provides the perfect backdrop for this simple still life. From a distance, the light-coloured vase with the bouquet catches the eye; up close, you can make out the folded rose petals and subtle shadows.
