About ‘Surrender’ by IIM Series

Surrender means accepting, yielding to, letting go of, or giving yourself over to. It is a form of letting go, acceptance, perhaps submission, or giving up the struggle. Surrender means becoming completely absorbed in the flow that is presenting itself in your life right now, to which you say ‘yes’ one hundred per cent without any expectation, resistance or reservation. Your ego doesn’t like surrender at all. It prefers to stay in control and lives more in the past and future than in the present. But when you surrender, you can move beyond the ego’s identification and become one with yourself. Then you can lead an adventurous life from your heart. As if you were sitting in a small boat and pushing it away from the familiar quay, setting off down the river. You surrender to the journey, even though you don’t know where or when you will arrive.’
