About ‘The New Lords Canal by Night’ by Frans Blok - photos, art and other wall decoration
Nieuwe Herengracht (the New Lords Canal) was dug after the Herengracht proper, but nevertheless dates back a few centuries, to be more precise to the year 1658. The lighttrails that we see on this night image are caused by boats that make a cruise along the light artworks of the Amsterdam Light Festival.
