About the artwork
To whom this world belongs, of course, is what this is all about. Is this the world of the dragonfly or that of the fish, or maybe both. Although both is impossible. The dragonfly lives on the water and the fish lives in the water. They cannot live in each other's world. Which world this is is of course up to you. In any case, there is beautiful light falling on the surface. So the sun is shining through something, perhaps through a canopy of leaves, showing those bright spots on the ground. Of course, this still says nothing about whether this is above or below water. The round shape at the top of the image, could be part of a fish, but it could just as easily be a vase or a shell. That, too, is up to you to decide. In short, there is plenty to see on this artwork and, above all, many questions to answer.
