Tree roots and flowing life energy

Intertwined tree roots form a complex structure. They represent a link between the visible world above ground and the hidden world beneath. They connect light with darkness, the visible with the invisible.

Using elegant lines and subtle shading, I aim to emphasise the visible forms of the tree, as well as the effects of light and shadow. But the idea that life force flows through the tree and that it interacts subtly with its surroundings is also part of this image. When I spend time in the forest, I am fascinated by the organic forms of old trees with their branches and twigs, but above all by their powerful roots. They form a strong connection to the earth, to nature and to the subconscious. In this sense, they can inspire people to listen to their inner voice and trust their intuition. They also remind us of how important it is to become aware of our own roots. The graceful appearance of the trees prompts me to reflect on the concept of time. On the one hand, trees grow in one place over a long period of time, whilst the world around them changes relatively quickly. On the other hand, as a living being, the tree itself is also subject to constant development. In this sense, the drawing is influenced by reflections on change and ageing. It is dedicated to the flowing life force associated with the cycle of creation, existence and decay in nature.
