The war memorial located in an open field in the middle of the Everts forest between the Drenthe villages of Anloo and Eext. A hiding place was located at this spot during the Second World War. A group of ten resistance fighters were executed by the German occupiers after being discovered at this spot. Now a group of boulders remains, marking the former entrance to the lair. In the background is a large Rhododendron in full bloom. This photo was taken in May 2024.
