Wasp Nest In Nightlight - an unfinished wasp nest open to allow the core to show. It is attached to a old beehive frame. In the center is something what seems to look like a single filled cell. For some reason the wasps abandoned this nest.
The view is at a 3/4 above angle looking into the nest. The light is skimming through the outer shell of the hive and skimming over the interior cells. It has signs of deteriorating. The hive frame was in an empty hive box and we gather the wasps thought it would make a great home. But wasps and honey bees do not get along. We are wondering if the nearby honeybees are the cause for them to abandoned ship or hive.
