Yamaha V-Max Thunder in Motion

When I stand before this painting, I feel the pulse that first pulled me toward motorcycles. The V-Max has always been more than metal to me. It is raw feeling shaped into steel. I built its muscular V4 engine with copper-bronze cylinder heads because those warm tones carry heat, the promise of power waiting to breathe. The polished silver exhaust sweeps upward like a held breath, and the metallic silver bodywork catches every glint of light I could give it.

I painted with thick impasto brushstrokes, letting each layer stay visible, because speed lives in texture, not smoothness. Behind the handlebars I placed a dramatic halo of light and smoke, a quiet moment of glory rising against the blur of race track grandstands. The red-and-white curbing pulls your eye toward the turn, toward everything still to come.

The warm ochre platform lifts the machine like an offering, a stage for something I love deeply. This work holds my own longing for freedom, for the open road, for the courage to move forward. I share it hoping you feel that same stirring, and know we ride toward wonder together.
