About Jiří Švestka
I am Jiří Švestka, an independent photographer and wildlife explorer. My story began in the beautiful surroundings of the East Bohemian countryside, where I have been closely connected to nature since childhood. Thus was born my love for nature and animals, which led me to the forestry school in Trutnov.
My journey as a nature photographer began in 2019 when I discovered my passion for photographing the living Czech nature, especially birds and animals living in human care. My goal is not only to document the beauty and diversity of nature, but also to help people better understand our world and all its inhabitants. In my photographs I try to capture both the details of animal beauty and to show animals in their natural habitat in a comprehensive way. I am not just a photographer. I am also a birdwatcher and a member of the Czech Ornithological Society, which allows me to have a deeper understanding and respect for our feathered friends.
