Helma van der Zwan's work is full of themes on recognisable life wisdom. Her works are varied, both in images and materials, yet her hand is clearly recognisable: womanhood, emotions, beauty, the hardness and softness of life, regularly recur in her work. Letting go and still wanting to perfect and master the work with a variety of materials result in fascinating portraits and figurations. Helma allows duality in colour, light and materials to return harmoniously to paper or canvas. Displaying an explosion of feeling and touching your heart with her works. For her, it is the representation in the pursuit of unity and connectedness among people. Helma was born on 24 June 1959 in The Hague.

What are the delivery times?
At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.
How will the package be sent?
We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.
Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.
A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.
Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.
Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
