Between ink and breath

Deep blue flower shapes float like watery imprints on a light background, as if they have been knocked out of a dream. The flowers appear to be constructed from flowing ink, with edges that blur into the paper and droplets that have slowly trickled down like tears. Long, thin stems suggest fragile connections to an invisible ground, giving the whole a sense of weightlessness and stillness. The composition is seemingly spontaneous, yet carefully balanced. Some flowers appear to be blooming, while others resemble closed buds. Smudges, splashes and explosions of pigment give the work an unpolished, organic energy. There is a subtle interplay between control and letting go – the paint flows freely, yet comes to rest in recognisable forms.

A surprising detail is the presence of silver-grey textures around some of the flowers, reminiscent of dust particles or ash. This creates an almost cosmic character, as if these flowers exist not on earth but in another dimension.
