Black sheep among white sheep

The artwork ‘Black Sheep Among White Sheep’ brings a well-known saying to life in a powerful and graphic image, in which a single dark sheep with a calm expression, standing in the midst of an endless flock of white sheep, creates a striking scene that feels both witty and meaningful. This distinctive artwork depicts the dense woolly coats and the small yellow ear tags, whilst the soft, even light and the sharp focus around the black sheep capture the contrast in an artistic and contemporary manner. The snow-white, cream-grey and deep black tones lend the whole composition a serene atmosphere that subtly yet powerfully reflects the strength of daring to be different.

All the heads are facing the same way, whilst the black sheep stands right at the heart of the composition and the fading rows behind it draw the eye in a natural circle towards the centre.

The stark contrast between black and white makes this piece a bold choice for a modern, minimalist or unconventional interior. Hanging on the wall of a living room, office or hall, it adds humour and character, whilst above a sofa or in a wide corridor, it provides a talking point that immediately sticks in the mind.

Animal lovers, free spirits and anyone who appreciates a clever nod to humour will find in this artwork a sheep that gives every wall a mind of its own.
