Blue glass kingfisher

The ‘Blue Kingfisher’ glass painting depicts a kingfisher that appears to be made entirely of clear glass. The little bird is depicted in flight with outstretched wings, each flight feather catching the light like a thin, translucent sheet. The blue hues on its head and back blend into warm orange-brown tones on its breast, whilst its long, pointed beak juts sharply forwards.

What is remarkable is how the material transforms the bird without rendering it unrecognisable. The feather structure is visible as a delicate mosaic of glass scales, and on the wings, golden edges catch the light in fine lines. The glass is partly transparent, so that in some places you seem to be looking right through the bird. The dark black surrounding it brings out every reflection and refraction to its best advantage and makes the little bird appear to be floating.

The beautiful colours and exclusive design make this photo print an eye-catcher that effortlessly holds your attention. Whether you hang this piece in the living room, your workspace or a modern hallway, it brings a sense of refinement, clarity and artistic precision wherever it is displayed.

Anyone who loves birds, glass art or works that combine nature and craftsmanship will find a portrait here that never ceases to fascinate. This kingfisher is frozen in glass, yet still seems to move.
