Bull, Cubism, red and black

The ‘Bull’ Cubist red-and-black painting brings the raw power of a bull to life in a dynamic Cubist composition, in which sharp triangles and overlapping planes in deep red, black, cream and grey combine to form an intense and timeless image that immediately captivates the viewer. This remarkable artwork features angular forms that collectively suggest the bull’s massive shoulders, curved horns and dark head, whilst the visible canvas texture and sharp lines capture the animal’s tension in an artistic and contemporary manner. The bright red areas set against the deep black and the rough cream give the whole a bold and fiery appearance that subtly yet powerfully reflects the bull’s passion and indomitable character.

The sharp diagonals guide the eye back and forth across the canvas, and the contrast between warm red and deep black lends the composition a tension that is almost palpable, like a bull moments before the charge.

Red and black instantly lend a wall a sense of drama and boldness. In a stylish living room, dining room or workspace with clean lines and dark or neutral colours, this artwork on the wall creates a powerful, bold focal point.

Bold personalities, art collectors and lovers of Spanish passion will recognise in this bull a tribute to strength and fervour – a painting that will continue to captivate for years to come.
