City Lights – Abstract Gold and Black

The ‘City Lights’ abstract gold-and-black painting brings the glow of a city at night to life in an atmospheric and luxurious composition, in which black towers with warmly lit windows and a golden reflection in the water combine to form a sparkling scene that feels both mysterious and elegant. This exceptional work of art showcases thick, modelled layers of paint that capture the city lights like glistening metal, whilst the texture created by the palette knife captures the illuminated façades and rippling waves in an artistic and contemporary manner. The shades of gold, amber and deep black lend the whole an exclusive air that subtly yet powerfully reflects the tranquillity and energy of a city after sunset.

The dark buildings stand in a row across the composition like solid blocks, whilst the golden streaks in the water below echo the vertical lines and guide the eye from the skyline to the raw, dazzling foreground.

The stark contrast between shimmering gold and deep black makes this piece a chic choice for a modern, industrial or glamorous interior. Hung on the wall of a living room, office or hall, it adds atmosphere and class, whilst above a sofa or in a grand hallway, it immediately commands attention.

City lovers, fans of metallic textures and anyone who enjoys stylish evening ambiances will find in this painting a skyline that makes any wall shine.
