Dandelion Puffball Core - The seedhead of this dandelion is bold in the middle with seeds stanging around its edge. The white parachutes fan out filling the whole picture frame.
Dandelions have not been historically considered to be weed. It was the modern invention of a curated green grass lawn which replaces this useful beneficial plant out of favor. Dandelions are famous for its beauty and have inspired artists around the world. Every part of the dandelion is edible. They have been used for traditional medicine for thousand of years. Immigrants brought the dandelion to the Americas for that purpose. Dandelions are more nutritional than most plants we consume.
This beautiful flower is a master of survival. No wonder so many wish upon it.
