Eagle Cubism

This Cubist painting of an eagle brings the power and freedom of the king of birds to life in a dynamic and multi-layered composition, in which sharp triangles and curved planes in ochre, rust-red, black and cream combine to form a spread-out wing pattern brimming with tension and movement. This remarkable work of art depicts the eagle as a mosaic of faceted forms, with the visible brushstrokes and the lightly woven texture of the canvas capturing the feathers in an artistic and contemporary manner. The warm earth tones and deep shadows lend the whole a rugged appearance that subtly yet powerfully reflects the might of a bird of prey.

The long, fanning-out lines sweep through the composition like gusts of wind, whilst the light accents amidst the dark backdrop make the head and the edges of the wings stand out, constantly drawing the eye in a new direction.

Thanks to its rich, warm colours and bold angles, this piece fits well into a rugged, modern or classic interior. Hung on the wall of a living room, study or dining room, it brings energy and character; and above a sofa or in a wide hallway, it immediately catches the eye with its fiery colours.

Bird lovers, fans of Cubism and anyone who appreciates powerful, expressive art will find in this painting an eagle that makes any wall take flight.
