An atmospheric picture of the Veerhaven in Rotterdam, taken from the Zalmhaven tower, about half an hour after sunset when it is just barely dark.
This is where the ferry to Katendrecht once left. Long ago, before there were bridges over the river Nieuwe Maas, this was part of the main route from Rotterdam to the south. From Katendrecht, it then continued by horse and cart along the Dordse Straatweg.
Today, the Veerhaven is a marina. And the area around it, the Scheepvaartkwartier, with its monumental buildings from around 1900, is one of Rotterdam's most beautiful districts.
My work can be found in the border regions of photography, painting and computer visuals. With my company 3Develop I do work in commission but I use the same techniques, skills and software to make free work.
