Flamenco dancer and Cubism

This Cubist painting of a flamenco dancer brings the fiery dance of flamenco to life in a powerful and dynamic composition, in which sharp planes in deep red, black and cream combine to form a geometric scene brimming with movement. This remarkable artwork features fanning-out shapes reminiscent of billowing skirts and fans, whilst the visible brushstrokes and the matt texture of the canvas capture the energy in an artistic and contemporary manner. The warm red and deep black tones lend the whole a passionate aura that subtly yet powerfully reflects the intensity of the dance.

Angular planes slide over and past one another, and the light cream tones repeatedly break through the dark composition, creating a rhythm that seems almost audible, like the clapping of hands and the stamping of heels.

Thanks to the strong contrast between red, black and cream, this piece suits interiors with a distinctive character. Hanging on the wall of a living room, dining room or hall, it brings warmth and excitement, whilst above a sofa or in a hallway, it instantly lends the space a bold and artistic touch. Lovers of Spain, dance and Cubist art will find in this painting an expressive work that brings passion and spirit into the home.
