We live in South New Jersey, USA. People in the USA often don't think of New Jersey as a farming state even so it is called the garden state. North New Jersey is far from this and more industrial and that is how New Jersey gained its reputation.
We live surounded by Wineries and farms. The are produces quite a respectable amount of wine grapes and wine. Many of the local wineries also produce fruit wines. But most of all South Jersey is known for its massive blueberry farming.
We are lucky and happen to have a friend who is also a farmer and growth his own organic food. His garden produces more than he can eat and he generously shares his harvest. This batch of blueberries I just washed will be frozen and saved for later in the year. The next batch will be made into jam and juice.
