Geometric Portrait of a Woman in Earthy Tones

This painting is a celebration of geometry, contrast, and emotion. As the artist, I sought to capture the essence of strength and introspection through a stylized portrayal of a woman. Her profile, sharp and angular, is a deliberate exploration of light and shadow. The left side of her face, cloaked in deep black, represents mystery and the unseen, while the right side, bathed in cream and light brown, symbolizes clarity and revelation. Together, they create a dialogue between the hidden and the revealed.

Her almond-shaped eye, intense and contemplative, anchors the viewer’s gaze, inviting them into her world of quiet strength. The dark, pulled-back hair and elongated neck emphasize elegance, while the sweeping planes of her shoulders suggest movement and depth.

The background, with its textured brushstrokes in earthy tones, serves as both a contrast and a complement to her form. The flowing white and brown shapes behind her head evoke a sense of aura or presence, framing her as a figure of significance.

This piece draws inspiration from Cubism and Art Deco, blending sharp geometry with expressive brushwork. It’s a portrait not just of a woman, but of duality—strength and vulnerability, light and shadow, the seen and the unseen.
