Green Transparency in Balance

This abstract artwork exudes tranquillity and refinement through the use of transparent, organic shapes that partially overlap. Soft watercolour washes in green, olive green, beige, light blue and subtle shades of grey create a layered composition in which depth is achieved without harsh contours. The flowing shapes appear to float across the surface like natural stones, leaves or water droplets, whilst the transparency ensures that new shades emerge where the areas of colour intersect.

The subtle watercolour texture and soft colour gradients lend the work an airy, almost meditative quality. No single form completely dominates; rather, it is the balance between the various transparent areas that creates harmony and a sense of movement. The generous white background allows the composition to breathe and reinforces its minimalist character. The longer you look, the more the nuances in the overlapping layers become apparent, ensuring the work continues to surprise. Thanks to its understated colour palette and organic forms, this artwork fits perfectly into a Japandi, Scandinavian or modern interior. It brings a sense of serenity and natural elegance to the space and makes a timeless decorative statement.
