About ‘Lauwersmeer lake after sunset’ by Evert Jan Luchies
The sky above the Lauwersmeer turns deep red after sunset on a quiet Autumn day. The Lauwersmeer is an artificial lake that was created by the construction of a dike between the Wadden Sea and the Lauwerszee in 1969. Since then, this lake has grown into a nature reserve and an important bird area. This photo was taken in November 2018
