Meadow with umbelliferous plants

A photograph of a meadow of umbellifers. The image is heavily desaturated and dominated by shades of grey and white inflorescences, punctuated by scattered rust-coloured plant parts in the background.

A mural depicting a collection of umbellifers in various stages of growth. The image shows both flat, open white flowers and closed, dark seed heads. The compositional feature lies in the extreme reduction of colour. Almost the entire motif is rendered in cool shades of grey, thereby graphically isolating the architectural structure of the plants and the dense network of stems. Individual, rust-coloured plant elements in the background break up this monochrome palette and create a subtle sense of spatial depth.

In terms of interior design, this wall art provides a structuring and organising element. The cool, almost industrial colour scheme, combined with the organic motif, allows for seamless integration into modern, minimalist or functional interiors. The work embodies the principles of biophilic design without resorting to classic, rich shades of green. It is ideally suited to large walls in workspaces, meeting rooms or living areas where the focus is on creating a focused, calm and clear atmosphere.
