Tips for use

About ‘Mill de Vrijheid between the blossoms’ by Moetwil en van Dijk - Fotografie landschappen - natuur

Windmill De Vrijheid in Beesd in the Betuwe, located on the river Linge, was used in World War II by the Resistance to send messages through the position of the sails. To commemorate this, the hitherto nameless mill was given the name ''De Vrijheid" after its renovation in 1968.
