Mosaic Ear Sculpture

‘Mosaic Ear Sculpture’ depicts a stylised ear composed of colourful rectangles and squares. Yellow, orange, red, green and blue follow the rounded outer edge and the curved lines within. The shape stands out against a light grey background. On the right, the edges are more sharply defined, whilst on the left a soft shadow detaches the shape of the ear from the background.

The upper arch is wide and tapers downwards into a narrow outer edge. Inside, there are dark recesses between the colourful patches. At the bottom, the rounded earlobe provides a tranquil conclusion. The straight mosaic pattern contrasts with the organic curves of the ear. Some colour blocks catch a lot of light, whilst others become darker in the curves. As a result, the three-dimensional structure remains visible without the colour pattern taking over the recognisable shape.

This colourful wall art suits a modern interior with graphic accents or a creative workspace. The ear motif can also complement a space where music and listening play a role. A plain wall gives the various colours plenty of space. From a distance, the distinct silhouette of the ear stands out; up close, the small areas, dark openings and soft shadows become visible. The work combines an everyday body shape with a playful geometric pattern.
