About ‘Old Woman Selling Easter Eggs’ by Marja van den Hurk
Parody of the painting "The Egg Seller", painted in 1632 by Dutch artist Hendrick Bloemaert (1601/1602-1672).
In this version (from 2026), I surprised the woman by replacing the original white eggs in her painting with brightly coloured Easter eggs.
Judging by her expression, the woman certainly appreciates the joke.…
