Portrait of a Mafia cow

The ‘Mafia Cow’ portrait painting plays with expectations in a way that’s guaranteed to make you chuckle. A cow, usually the epitome of rural tranquillity, appears here in a smart suit and a dark fedora, stepping out of the surrounding darkness. Only her head is illuminated by the light.

The humour lies in the contrast. That broad muzzle and those large, calm eyes normally radiate good-naturedness, but combined with the gangster outfit, they suddenly take on an air of inscrutability. She looks at you without any hurry, as if she has long known how this conversation will end. The sparse light highlights the texture of her coat and the soft sheen of her nose, whilst the suit and hat lend her an air of sophistication that is completely out of place – and that is precisely why it works so well.

The stunning colours and exclusive design make this photo print a real eye-catcher that effortlessly holds your attention. Whether you hang this piece in the living room, a man cave or a rugged home office, it brings a sense of character, humour and stylish menace wherever it goes.

For anyone who loves farm animals in unexpected roles, a touch of gangster film or art that turns things on their head, this is a piece that brings a smile to your face time and time again.
