Portrait of a Mafia informant

The ‘Mafia Rat’ portrait painting depicts an animal that belongs in this world like no other. From beneath the brim of a dark fedora, the pointed head of a rat emerges, clad in a smart suit that lends it an unexpectedly dapper air. Everything around it is black, so that only its face stands out from the darkness.

There is something unsettlingly convincing about this portrait. The rat has traditionally been the creature of backstreets and shadows, and that is precisely why that gangster outfit suits him down to the ground. His beady eyes gleam alertly in the sparse light, his long whiskers stand out sharply against the black, and his pointed snout gives him a shrewd, observant expression. The smart suit adds a thin veneer of respectability, but no one looking at it is really taken in by it.

The stunning colours and exclusive design make this photo print a real eye-catcher that effortlessly holds your attention. Whether you hang it in the living room, a man cave or a rugged home office, it brings a sense of character, humour and stylish menace wherever it goes.

For anyone who’s drawn to animal portraits with a hidden meaning, a classic gangster vibe, or art that’s just a touch edgier than average, this is a piece that really sticks in the mind. This rat clearly has no intention of ever letting itself be caught.
