About "Reflection in the water of the harbour"

by Leo Luijten

About the artwork

A colorful reflection of a working vessel in the water of a Rotterdam harbor. The ripples in the water have created a unique abstract image seen and captured by the photographer. A combination of technique and weather conditions makes this a colorful unique artwork in the primary colors of red, blue and yellow. The ever changing conditions make it impossible to reproduce this image. You could call it abstract water art.

What is abstract photography
Abstract photography consists of images created with photographic materials and equipment that have no direct association with the real world. Abstract photographers use perspective, movement and light to transform the visible world into an unexpected, often unrecognizable image. "Abstract photography does not involve representational representation. It can be an exploration of the texture or details of everyday objects, or make you think of something else.
