Sailing ship, Cubism, light colours

This Cubist painting of a sailing ship in light colours brings to life the freedom and movement of a sailing ship on the open water in a fresh Cubist composition, in which large triangular sails in cream, pale yellow and soft blue come together to form an airy and timeless image that immediately radiates tranquillity and space. This unique artwork depicts the sharp, overlapping sails and the ship’s long hull against a undulating sea, surrounded by areas of navy blue and grey-blue, with the matt paint layers and crisp lines capturing the wind and water in an artistic and contemporary manner. The light cream, sandy and blue tones give the whole a calm and fresh appearance that subtly yet powerfully reflects the tranquillity and adventure of a day at sea. The sharp sails point upwards like arrows, whilst the horizontal swathes of the sea keep the composition in balance, so that the image combines movement and stillness at the same time.

Light, soft colours make a room feel larger and more cheerful. In a living room, bathroom, hall or bedroom decorated in shades of blue, white or sand, this artwork on the wall creates a fresh, maritime atmosphere without being kitsch.

Sailors, water sports enthusiasts and anyone who dreams of a day at sea can bring a touch of freedom into their home every day with this painting, presented in a modern and refined style.
