Soft Pink Quince Flower Side View- Flowering quince is a deciduous shrub of the Rosacea family. This pink and white quince was a gift to my husband who loves quince jelly. I opted for 4 different versions of quince. However, since quince is the only one that produces large enough fruits to make jelly and quince cheese. It is also the first quince to blossom in Spring. Its fruit is the size of a standard pear and ripens to a golden yellow. It is too tart to eat in its raw form and needs to be cooked to consume.
This soft pink quince flower takes up much of the center of the artwork with its branch crossing on the top left. The background is a soft olive green with hits of pink. Several soft-focus branches add lines in the background. The view is a little below eye level allowing one to see the whole flower from the side. This a beautiful macro photograph for modern contemporary decor.
The quince symbolism is good luck and prosperity to homes.
