Star sculpture in silver and sapphire

This silver and sapphire star sculpture depicts a five-pointed star with sharp, geometric facets, positioned at an angle and centred in the composition. The left-hand half is made of polished, mirror-like silver in which dark and light areas alternate, whilst the right-hand half consists of deep blue, translucent sapphire with subtle reflections and refractions in the crystalline surfaces. The points of the star taper sharply and the silver and blue sections fit together perfectly. Light falls from above, causing the edges to glow brightly, making the star appear almost to float. In the background, you can see a dark navy blue gradient, with a glossy base at the bottom in which a soft blue glow is reflected.

The cool interplay of reflective silver and deep blue gives the design a gleaming, high-tech character, in which each facet captures a different fragment of light. Since ancient times, a star has guided travellers and symbolised hope, success and good fortune; this version translates that meaning into a luxurious, contemporary form crafted from silver and gemstones.

This sculpture looks particularly striking against a dark or grey wall in a modern living room, study or hall, and is available in various materials and sizes.
