This girl is deep in thought. She seems to muse about the bird and her eggs still in the nest. Behind her, a whole row of beautiful spring flowers are blooming at the edge of the pond. The sun is setting, giving a nice warm yellow glow that falls over the water. The nest is made just behind the blooming flowers. The girl is wearing a light and airy spring dress in pink. She has put some of the flowers in her hair. She seems to be conferring with bird what to do with the nest. Is it really her nest she wonders, or is this a young bird that crawled out of the egg first and appeared alone in the world. The girl takes care of the bird. And she is probably deliberating with herself what to do. Put it back or get help, which seems the best thing for her to do. For now, she is still deep in thought and remains indebted to us for the answer. The colours of this abstract, surrealistic portrait are mainly pink, cream, yellow and brown.
