The Colonel lies on his deathbed.
Around him all the people, tribes who throughout history, anywhere in the world, have been murdered by orders of a leader.
The one who comes to get him reveals his identity by the symbol on his buttons. It is Hermes.
He accompanies the dead and has in his hand obols to place on the eyes so that the dead person can pay for his passage.
This work is based on a dream. It gives an oppressive image, but also hope that somewhere the bill for his actions will be paid.
The actual painting is 120 x 90 cm
