The Prodigal Son: A Cubist Panorama

The ‘Prodigal Son’ Cubist panorama depicts a moving moment of reunion, rendered in sharp, faceted planes. Two faces, pressed close together, almost merge in an intimate embrace, with warm skin tones in ochre and beige blending into deep red folds of clothing. In the background, cool blue-grey hues fade away, whilst a dark jug in the corner offers a subtle reference to the classical tale.

The warm ochre tones of the faces, combined with the deep red of the clothing, create an intimate and refined design, lending this photo print an emotional depth to any space. The gentle contrast between warm and cool tones enhances the tenderness of the moment.

What drives this image is a fascination with universal stories of forgiveness and reunion, depicted here in a clean, geometric interplay of planes that amplifies the emotion of the moment. The proximity of the two faces strikingly emphasises the intimacy of this biblical parable.

This is a beautiful addition to a warm, atmospheric space where tranquillity and connection take centre stage. Whether hung in a living room, bedroom or study with an artistic flair, this work forms a meaningful focal point. Available in various materials and sizes, this print blends effortlessly with any interior style.
