Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘The Rhythm of Soft Coloured Patches’ by Color Square

A playful yet balanced composition of rectangular colour blocks, arranged in a seemingly strict grid. The shapes vary subtly in size and position, lending the whole a lively rhythm. Cool shades of blue, green and soft turquoise dominate, complemented by muted accents of purple and beige.

The paint is applied transparently and in layers, causing some areas to overlap and creating new colour nuances. This gives the work a watercolour-like lightness, despite the clear geometric structure. The edges of the shapes are not entirely sharp, which contributes to a handmade and organic feel within the strict grid.

Small variations in colour intensity and brushwork create subtle differences between the areas, giving each element its own character. The white of the background acts as breathing space and enhances the brightness of the colours. The work balances between order and playfulness, with repetition and variation holding each other in equilibrium.
